I’ve been visiting Arran for over 30 years and today I FINALLY found the famous dinosaur footprint!! It’s an isochirothereum footprint from the Triassic period - 250 million years old 😱

My favourite holiday read so far: Secrets of the Sea House by Elisabeth Gifford Set in Harris, it starts with a gruesome discovery and weaves in folklore with the often heartbreaking truth of life on the islands in the 19th c and present day. Light and shade, water and earth. 5⭐️

I’ve just refused to buy Kerr a new game on his Nintendo Switch so he shot me with a Nerf gun. A sentence my grandma would neither understand nor tolerate.

So apparently I’m a big geek for getting excited about the Book Festival. This is according to the man who’s just whooped cos he connected his phone to the freezer

I have a recurring stress dream about losing control of my car on a bridge, so this is utterly horrifying. Just praying there are no fatalities

I just finished “Secrets of Blythswood Square” by Sara Sheridan - 5 🌟! It’s the perfect cousin of “The Fair Botanists”. As a Glaswegian living in Edinburgh I loved moving west in the 1840s a couple of decades after a wander round the capital. An authentic feminist adventure! 👏
