We had a special visit today from Olympic Bronze medalist Nile Wilson sharing some of his experiences and skills with the children who also got chance to ask him questions and hold an Olympic medal. Lots of Children left the assembly feeling inspired and wanting more gymnastics 🏅

What a fantastic way to end our work with Vision West Nottinghamshire College ! We celebrated with a multiskills festival demonstrating all of the different skills taught over the year. Huge thank you to all the staff and students from West Notts PE department for working with us over the year ⚽🎾🏏 🏑

Well done to Yr. 9 Brunts Academy PE students who completed their Leadership Skills Foundation Young Leader Award this week! We were invited to participate in the Forest Games at Sherwood Pines on Thursday. We went on the Go Ape Tree Nets, bushcraft art, scavenger hunt, disc golf and soft Archery in the great outdoors what a fab way to spend our day! Thanks Active Notts Mansfield School Games for the invite.

Despite the weather we have had a super sports week celebrating the Olympics and Paralympics. As well as sports days children have been able to try wheelchair sports such as rugby and basketball and learn lots about the up and upcoming Olympics with challenges and medal designs

The weather didnt spoil our fun down at Mansfield RUFC Women & Girls Section this week. The girls enjoyed a fab fun indoor rugby session learning lots of skills and playing games. The smiles say it all well done girls and huge thanks to the rugby club for hosting and coaching us 🏉🤩

Today our KS2 children were treated to a karate workshop led by Karate zone instructors. We learnt about self defence and got to put some of the moves into practice on the pads 🥋

Well done to our year 4 girls who went to West Notts College to participate in a girls football festival. We had a great time playing games and learning new skills⚽ Thanks to Vision West Nottinghamshire College sports students for providing the fun, engaging activities the girls loved it🤩

Yesterday our King Eds Burgundy team played in their first league game against Northfield Primary. For most of these boys it was their first time playing competitive football showing real teamwork and determination that grew into the game. Well done boys you made us very proud ⚽

We had a wonderful time taking part in the KS1 multiskills festival. Children took part in football skills passing and dribbling with their feet and hands, target games throwing into hoops and buckets, relay races and balancing skills! Well done to our 5/6 boys football team who played in the Mansfield Town Utilita Cup Competition yesterday afternoon showing fantastic teamwork and skills winning their group and are now through to the finals week in December.

Great start to our English Schools' Football Association week with our year 5s taking part in games and penalty shootouts. Teams were tasked to celebrate excellent play such as teamwork honesty and determination and were then rewarded with pokemon cards ⚽🙌 #schoolsfootballweek
