Following a donation of £2.75m to our helipad appeal, today we welcomed Trustees from @HelipadHelp. Since it opened in October 2016, nearly 1,300 patients from across the South-East have landed on the helipad to receive time-critical treatment from our expert teams.

This is the reality of post-graduate exams. My 2yr old daughter staging a “sit in” as a protest for me needing to revise for #FRCS today rather than spend the time with her that she deserves. The impact of taking exams as a “grown up” is widespread and understated. #orthotwitter

🚁 Did you know, King’s is the only hospital in London that can accept air ambulances at night? Since our helipad became operational 24/7 back in 2019, 2⃣6⃣8⃣ critically ill patients have been flown to King’s between the hours of 9pm and 7am. #TeamKings

🚁 Since the opening of our helipad in 2016, patients have been flown to King’s from across the south-east and south-west of England, including 1⃣3⃣ HM Coastguard and Search & Rescue patients. #TeamKings
