Thank you to Lucy who visited Kirkhill to talk about Teddy Bear Hospital. We loved hearing about Kami the Bear’s visit to hospital and looking at some of the equipment used at hospital. The children were delighted to receive Ted-ical degrees at the end of the lesson Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity


Author Jordan Lees visited P6 and P7 today to introduce his amazing new book The Whisperwicks. Jordan shared some brilliant writing tips and we had fun finding out which character we were most like! Waterstones Mearns @JordanHLees Penguin Books UK


Some of our classes joined the BBC Bitesize for Teachers live lesson for World Book Day today. P4 were delighted to get a should out about the book they are reading - Mr Penguin and the Lost treasure #worldbookday2025 #BBCLiveLessons




ERC hosted their first #learningforsustainability conference at Hampden Park. Young people shared their vision for sustainability and spoke passionately about their goals for 2030. On 12th March, 7 of our P6 pupils represented Kirkhill in the Global School Alliance Primary Pupil Council. The pupils were joined online with pupils from India, Moldova, Northern Ireland, England and Vietnam. They confidently discussed jobs of the future. #proudkps





P4b have loved exploring the book The Lost Words and talking about caring for nature. We have explored outdoors, written spell songs, made blackout poems and created these amazing explosion books. Robert Macfarlane John Muir Trust #TheLostWords

Thank you to T and J the Equality Captains from Mearns Castle High School who came to speak to all of our P7 pupils about equality, respect and inclusion. They were very inspiring alongside our Campus Police Officer and shared MCHS school values and what that means as a pupil of MCHS.
