The government claims cutting disability benefits is about getting people into work. They haven't produced any evidence backing this up. An FOI request has revealed that these cuts would remove PIP from 281,000 of the 510,000 claimants currently in work #TakingThePIP

In a sane and just-world, Maggie Oliver should be given a Knighthood for her relentless and brave campaigning for the grooming gangs victims. She won’t be, but she absolutely should be.

Tory MPs asking for interventions during Diane Abbott's speech to give her time to find her place in her speech after her tablet went wrong is the kind of good natured humanising behaviour we should be drawing more attention to given all the fire and heat and anger in politics.

This from Josh Glancy interview with Starmer is important, I said on Kunessberg this AM, Labour have done popular things - min wage, renters, gb energy, sewage but they’ve been drowned out by winter fuel, NI, PIP with people struggling to understand guiding mission of this govt

Reports Rachel Reeves will announce a cut to the cash ISA limit at her 15 July Mansion House speech. If true, I think it's a mistake. I doubt it'll substantially nudge people to invest not save; said to be the aim. This isn't nudge economics, its piss people off economics.

Five years of sitting next to this one most Monday nights… And proof - in this divided world - that you can respectfully disagree on air and still be mates off it. Thanks for everything Harry Cole and good luck!

I have real sympathy for Rachel Reeves. I remember when my Labour shadow, Jack Dromey, saw me struggling in the chamber, after I lost our twins. I told the story of his kindness at his valediction ⬇️ 1/ spectator.co.uk/article/parlia…

PM Keir Starmer says he did not realise the Chancellor was distressed during PMQs yesterday but tells Virgin Media ❤️ that she is “fine” today and praises her resilience. He says Reeves will be Chx to “the next election and beyond” and recommits to the Government’s fiscal rules.
