My family relied on care workers for three decades. Most came from abroad. Brexit made hiring much more difficult, adding to our stress. Now these shameful moves by Labour to target foreign care workers in response to Reform fuel a crisis ignored by successive governments

Sad to hear Keir Starmer saying immigration is turning the UK into an “island of strangers”. People who have moved here from other countries are my friends and neighbours, not strangers.

The problems in our society are not caused by migrants or refugees. They are caused by an economic system rigged in favour of corporations and billionaires. If the government wanted to improve people’s lives, it would tax the rich and build an economy that works for us all.
