Absolutely agree with this. The title ‘midwife’ is a protected title - this is dangerous regulatory territory. What is the point of a 3-year midwifery degree programme if this isn’t protected?

My day was one of two extremes, people not holding lifts, not letting me in them, having to wait, in pain, on crutches, sometimes #disability really sucks. Then to the wonderful staff in the canteen who help anytime, chats with my mum and a friend, to dinner with my love #friday

There’s a 13% drop in number of midwifery applications overall since last yr, however *accepted* midwifery applicants remains static from last yr and is up 10% since 2019. Still work to do to ensure midwifery remains an attractive career choice & and we retain the sts we have.
