Great talks today by our graduate students Herbert S. Wakefield IV and Marissa Coschigano in the 2024 ROSEI Summit (@EnergyAtHopkins)! #HopkinsEnergy #TeamSilicon

Congratulations to the new Dr. Melvin (Sophie Melvin, Ph.D.)! The latest PhD from the Klausen group. We are so proud of your accomplishment! 🥂

Congratulations to Herb (Herbert S. Wakefield IV) for being selected as the 2024 inductee to the Edward A. Bouchet Honor Society, we are so proud of you! chemistry.jhu.edu/2024/02/12/her…

Champagne toast to celebrate Dr. Melvin's (Sophie Melvin, Ph.D.) recent defense, also showing off our new sweatshirts! #silanestyle

Congratulations to Herbert S. Wakefield IV for receiving the Alexander Kossiakoff Award for his outstanding research contributions within the JHU Chemistry department! 🏆

Congratulations to our outstanding undergraduate Jess Williams for receiving a Greer Undergraduate Summer Research Award JHU Chemistry! 🏆

I'm really honored to receive one of the conference travel awards from the Johns Hopkins Homewood Postdoctoral Association (Homewood Postdoctoral Association (HW-PDA) at JHU)! This award will help support my participation in the Organometallics GRC this summer.

Congratulations to the new Dr. Wakefield (Herbert S. Wakefield IV), the latest PhD from the Klausen lab! We are so proud of your accomplishments, and are excited to see where you go next! 🎉

Thrilled to have undergraduate researcher Maddy Gregory working with me this summer through the MONET-CCI REU program! She comes from Western Carolina University (Western Carolina University). She has already made several polymers, and is learning her way around the glovebox. Great work Maddy! 🎉

Last day of my MONET-CCI REU with the Klausen Group. I am so grateful to be led by such an amazing group of people. Especially, thank you to Kelsie Wentz for being such an amazing mentor!

Starting 2025 with a new Perspective in J. Am. Chem. Soc. on the Precise Synthesis of Complex Si-Si Molecular Frameworks! #silicon pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10…

Sharing our latest work on the direct synthesis and redox properties of 9-methylsilafluorene dimer published in Dalton Trans.! Another great collab with David Wilson and Andrew Molino, and a new one with Sara Thoi and George Jiang! Funded by Beckman Foundation! pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…

I'm thrilled to share that I will be starting my independent career Indiana University Chemistry Department in July! The Wentz lab will interface synthetic chemistry with materials science, while providing strategies to access new generations of molecular building blocks and macromolecular materials.
