Klenk Elementary is participating in the Houston Rocket's Read Nation contest presented by Whataburger! The contest runs Jan. 17 - Feb. 14th. All students have to do is keep track of the minutes they read each day. Students have a calendar for them to help track their minutes.

I had to give a shout out to my teachers who helped students celebrate Read Across America! From dressing up as a cow to read "Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?" to finding "There's a Wocket in My Pocket" (both by Dr. Seuss) to read in Vietnamese to our Dual Language classes. So fun!

Shout out to my new friend Vuthy Kuon who came to school to read his books and show our students how to draw. Such a fun day! I totally recommend him for an author visit. 😀

Our Klenk Elementary Cougars are THRILLED to receive a $4,300 grant for student Pickleball Teams. This will help our students work as a team, while building development and problem-solving skills. 🥳
