5/ Rory Sutherland in his talk showed how presenting min per x miles is different psychologically from miles per hour: at higher speed it takes 20 additional miles per hour to gain a min/10 miles. In fact in paper (graph below by Peer/Gamliel) authors missed Jensen's inequality.

Friends, American University of Beirut MSFEA (Engineering) will be starting a comprehensive class on statistics of THICK TAILS. I will co-teach w/2 colleagues. While we believe that there are courses on Fat tails here & there (mostly Stable dist & EVT), I could not find such a class taught
