We are studying changing matter for the next couple of weeks. Today, we looked at 4 liquids and described their properties. We then placed them in the freezer to see if they react the same to an alteration. Tomorrow, we will check to see what happens. McInnis Elementary #vcsscientists

It’s been an exciting week in the world of VCS Science Office! Science clubs are up and running at Turie T. Small Elementary, Palm Terrace Elementary, Read-Pattillo Elem, and Blue Lake Elementary. Lots of additional time spent in science classes at Pierson Elementary and Sunrise Elementary!

Science was SWEET today with my Too Dawgs from Turie T. Small Elementary and my Rocket Scientists from Read-Pattillo Elem ! We identified properties of matter, tools, and units then made measurable and observable properties of candy.



5th graders at @Sunrivcs are launching marshmallows to see if the amount of force affected the distance a marshmallow travels when launched from a given point. #vcsscientists VCSElemSci
