We are studying changing matter for the next couple of weeks. Today, we looked at 4 liquids and described their properties. We then placed them in the freezer to see if they react the same to an alteration. Tomorrow, we will check to see what happens. McInnis Elementary #vcsscientists

Science Fair Saturday at Stetson Hatters University. Another great TomokaRegional science fair for Volusia County Schools!

It’s been an exciting week in the world of VCS Science Office! Science clubs are up and running at Turie T. Small Elementary, Palm Terrace Elementary, Read-Pattillo Elem, and Blue Lake Elementary. Lots of additional time spent in science classes at Pierson Elementary and Sunrise Elementary!

Science was SWEET today with my Too Dawgs from Turie T. Small Elementary and my Rocket Scientists from Read-Pattillo Elem ! We identified properties of matter, tools, and units then made measurable and observable properties of candy.

Friday I recieved my 20 year teaching pin with Volusia County Schools. I am a proud product of VCS. 36 years of my life have been in the halls of this district. I am so blessed to work with the amazing Volusia County Schools Science Department!
