I’ve always been loath to draw attention to misogynistic commentary, but people in this thread - and beyond - should reflect on their behaviour. Trying to be derogatory by calling me a prostitute and a whore for questioning a politician is low.

In the 50’s and 60’s we had a vast scare campaign about a handful of communists holding meetings in kitchens while reading books. Now we have mobs of actual Nazis wandering around every day threatening to kill sitting Premiers and it’s ‘oh nothing to see here’ #auspol

We all know that if Gary Lineker had put out a tweet praising the government's 'small boats' policy, Match of the Day would still have a host tomorrow. We all know it.

Sam herself has spoken many times about the importance of visibility and her impact in this regard. It’s seemingly only people outside these marginalised communities that have a problem with this importance being highlighted.

I want to thank all those Australians who have supported this campaign for recognition and a Voice. Stand proud tomorrow. History will remember you.

All my life I've heard the argument from conservatives (and I used to be one) that "I personally didn't do anything to Indigenous Australians." Well I never want to hear that again, because you have now. They asked for a Voice. You said No, just as Australia has for 200+ years.

In the NT, booths managed by the remote mobile teams consisting of a higher proportion of Indigenous Australians returned a Yes of 71.9%. The rest of the NT was 32.6%. More analysis need, but it's clear Indigenous support is overwhelmingly Yes. Don't believe the lies. #insiders

Preliminary analysis In Bob Katter's seat of Kennedy, shows polling booths with a catchment of more than 50% Indigenous Australians returned a Yes of 69.5%. The rest of Kennedy returned a Yes of 18.5%. It seems that the ~80% figure of Indigenous support was right. #insiders

21 out of 22 remote polling booths in NT First Nations communities resoundingly wrote “yes”. The “no” vote in the major non-Indigenous centres of Darwin, Katherine, Alice Springs trumped that in the NT’s final count. We sure have some reckoning to do. pollbludger.net/fed2023ref/Res…

My mum & sister fled Sri Lanka following Black July 83 (Google it). If the SL government chose to commemorate SL as a nation on that anniversary, I'd hurt on their behalf. In the same vein I hurt for First Nations people. Find a better date. foxsports.com.au/cricket/austra…

Apparently this man’s torment of these little babies (6&7 yrs old) went on for over an hour! Where the hell were the Brome police??!? Where’s the media on this??!! No outrage. This is absolutely harrowing Ps do not post anything that defends this behaviour on my thread. You
