Can we overcome cell density limitations in cyanobacteria 🤔? Internal illumination could be the answer! Find our latest paper below :)! Congrats to first authors @hobischma & Jelena Spasić as well as all coauthors! BioBio Group …mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.100…

I'm excited to share: I will be starting my own research group “Synthetic Microbiology” RWTH Aachen Aachen, @fuelsciencentre in two weeks. I'm currently looking for further #PhD students and #postdocs interested in #bioeconomy, #hydrogenase, #biogas, Please RT @H2ASE_NEWS

Our very own Andrea M Chánique just defended her brilliant PhD online giving us the freshly minted DR. CHANIQUE! Although we wanted her here, her talents are being put to great use at Kura Biotech in Chile. As per tradition, we did not let her leave us without her hat though ;)!

And another one 🥳 A great day at the Kourist lab today as the sun was shining and Leen Leen Assil-Companioni successfully defended her doctoral title 🎓

We are happy to share our new publication on the photosynthesis-driven oxyfunctionalization in cyanobacteria in ACS Catalysis (KouristLab Photosynthetic Microbes Institut Jacques Monod @univamu TU Graz). pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Congratulations Jelena Jelena Spasić for defending your thesis! 🥳 We are looking forward to having you back in our lab, Dr. Spasić!

We developed a new modular way to make use of photosynthetically produced electrons. Congrats and thanks everyone! The Elk Crew 🦋 elkcrew.bsky.social Valentina Jurkaš

Check out our Cover Art for our recent publication that was selected for the current ACS Catalysis issue. It shows how endo- and exocellulases form transient clusters to promote cellulose degradation. doi.org/10.1021/acscat… ACS Catalysis ACS for Authors #MyACSCover TU Graz

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend hike at the sunny #Schöckl with Selin Kara. Thanks for coming to Graz!

We have two open PhD positions in the area of rational protein design in KouristLab at TU Graz. All the details can be found on the link: jobs.tugraz.at/en/jobs/885ee1…
