Penn Surgery at the Pathways to Excellence Med Immersion Day. The event is one of a series hosted by AMP UPHS CHOP to help provide local underrepresented in medicine (URiM) medical students tools to succeed in academic medicine. The program is funded by a grant from Independence Blue Cross.
Congrats to current scholar Kristan who received the Society for Pediatric Research Exchange Award at the 2024 Pediatric Academic Societies conference! He gave an excellent presentation at the EAPS Congress highlighting disparities in postpartum care for parents of hospitalized preterm infants.
