Sharing a new paper just out in #AJB on my work with UMich Paleobotany on the evolutionary relationships of fossil palms doi.org/10.1002/ajb2.1… tldr: we CT scanned over 200 palm fruits to find that modern palm tribes were having a blast in the Late Cretaceous and Paleocene🌴

Check out this awesome research from our very own curator, Kelly Matsunaga !

Big congratulations to Keana Tang, KU Ecology & Evolutionary Biology student in KU Paleobotany, who was awarded an U.S. National Science Foundation Graduate Student Program Fellowship! 🎉 📸 Keana with an insect, from last summer's Insta takeover! KUGradStudies
