This is great news! I would like to congratulate Sean McKenna (Sean A. McKenna, PhD 🇺🇸 🇮🇪) and the #DRI team for all of their efforts with the #SWSIE. DRI looks forward to joining Arizona State University, @UNLV, University of Utah, and our other partners to address the significant climate challenges impacting the Southwest.

Thank you to Senator Cortez Masto for her continued support of DRI, our important #EnvironmentalResearch, and K-12 #STEM education. #DiscoverDRI #ScienceThatMattersNow

Thank you, Jill Tolles, for the opportunity to share the important work that DRI and our scientists are doing to help create resilient communities. #DiscoverDRI #ScienceThatMattersNow

The U.S. National Science Foundation's new Regional Innovation Engine program is an exciting opportunity to apply scientific expertise to support our communities. It was an honor to present DRI's contributions to #SWSIE at today's event held at Arizona State University alongside @UNLV and University of Utah. #ScienceThatMattersNow

I am honored to join my NSHE colleagues on a Presidents Roundtable with Nevada Independent's Jon Ralston. We discussed higher education, and I shared the importance of environmental research as key to future-proofing our communities and building a better world.

Today’s roundtable with Nevada State University, Desert Research Institute & CSN was a great opportunity to discuss how we can continue to serve students–and the community–in an ever-changing world. Thanks Dr. DeRionne Pollard (she/her), Kumud Acharya, Dr. William Kibbler & Jon Ralston for the conversation.

Congratulations to WaterStart on $1.8M investment from GOED (Nevada GOED) for the development of water technologies in NV and the Southwest. This investment will strengthen the NSF Futures Engine in the SW, enhancing economic growth and job creation. bit.ly/WaterStartNSF
