Jason Candle first spotted Emmanuel McNeil-Warren shooting around on the basketball court. That encounter put the talented safety on a path to an NFL career. My story on the latest Toledo-to-NFL standout: nytimes.com/athletic/67047…

It’s almost like the debates about Indiana and A&M were stupid and pointless. And that will remain true regardless of the South Carolina-A&M result. Indiana has the Big Ten championship game. A&M has Texas and a potential SEC title game. It always gets sorted out.

This proposed Big Ten equity deal, assuming all schools end up on board, would pay $190M each to UM, OSU and Penn State; $155M each to USC and Oregon; and $110M each to everyone else. One source from one of the everyone-else schools says, "Wait, so we're the same as Rutgers?!?"

ACC commissioner Jim Phillips regularly hits league events to connect with everyone from coaches and athletes to politicians and TV folks. He let the AP shadow his weekend trips in Pittsburgh and in NC. Here’s a look at those travels: apnews.com/article/acc-co…

We let in weak district champions in high school football, we let in (almost) all conference champs in FCS/D2/D3, we let in sub-.500 NFL division champs (and sometimes the Atlanta Falcons). But in major college football, so many people treat this like a unique and grievous sin.

Here’s a secret for Joe and Jane Fan: College sports travel isn’t as easy as booking flights and hotels, like your family vacation. It's coordinated chaos. Not at Youngstown State. Meet the woman behind every flight, bus ride and road-trip pizza party. nil-wire.com/p/travel-speci…

Coins tell the story of us, and one of the world’s finest collections can be found in lower Manhattan. But almost no one ever sees these coins, so off to Toledo they go. My story, with typically excellent photos by ⁦Todd Heisler⁩. nytimes.com/2025/11/20/art… via @NYTimes
