Interesting tidbit I learned: When the original Vapnik-Chervonenkis paper came out in 1971, they did not coin the term "shattered set" (or an analogue in Russian). The use of "shattering" didn't come about until The Wharton School's J. Michael Steele first published the term in 1978.
So excited to share new work with Emileigh Harrison about the presence and portrayal of topics, values, and identities in U.S. textbooks: What we teach in our curricula is more similar across our country than political narratives might have us believe. tinyurl.com/miiebooks
