#Marlins Xavier Edwards will begin his rehab assignment today with Triple-A Jacksonville. He will start at second base. Miami plans for Edwards to move there and keep Otto Lopez at shortstop when Edwards is reinstated from the IL.

Marlins are moving Xavier Edwards to second base. When X comes off the IL that will be his position going forward. Otto Lopez will stay at shortstop & his backup will be Javier Sanoja. Edwards profiles as a great defender at his natural position (2B) so the concept makes sense.
