The project aims to cultivate youth-driven innovation in climate change mitigation, specifically targeting communities in Apapaand Lagos Island. Through partnerships with local NGOs, the Lagos State Climate Adaptation and Resilience Office, and various government agencies,

LACSOP is fostering a grassroots movement to tackle pressing environmental challenges, including frequent flooding and poor waste management.

Welcoming the LACSOP team was Mrs. Kaphayah Sarumi, the Permanent Secretary of the SDGs Office, who expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative. Despite the short notice, she commended the team for their proactive approach.

During the meeting, Omolara Olusaiye, Project Manager at LACSOP, provided an overview of the initiative, emphasizing the pivotal role of youth in shaping and sustaining climate solutions in their communities.
