I’m also hearing a 7th name to run for the open NC Senate seat: Greg Brannon, per a person who has spoken to him about it. He’s run before, including when Tillis beat him in the primary in 2014.

Sen. Collins will have an amendment today to keep move the tax rate to 39.6% for those making $25 million. It will also double the hospital fund for Medicaid to $50 billion.

The BBB rescinds funding for pretty much every clean air, pollution control program.

Confirming Margot Sanger-Katz that Collins got the $50 billion hospital fund in the updated version of the Bill. I had been hearing rumors that if Murkowski votes for it then leadership was more optimistic that Collins would vote for it, too. This is obviously a big incentive for her

And it wasn’t enough for Collins. She voted against the amendment that includes this and other changes
