Our coaches are the backbone of player development and future coach development within our organization. These nominees put tens of thousands of kilometres on their vehicles ensuring that our athletes have quality coaching throughout both the off-season and in-season.

Without referees we have no game. These nominees stepped up big time this past summer (and previous summers) and allowed us to play all of the games we wanted and needed to play. #Thankful

We are super thankful for all of the sponsors that made our journey to the Canada Games possible. We hope to continue to build on these relationships and others moving into the future. Seems fitting to say thank you for your charity the day before we head into the holiday season.

The 2022 Lacrosse New Brunswick Female Athlete of the Year is Macey Hatfield. Macey scored the 1st goal in Female Canada Games lacrosse history, including the first hat trick that same game. Her jersey was donated to the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame, as was the ball.

The 2022 Lacrosse New Brunswick Male Athlete of the Year is Noah Frenette. Noah scored the overtime winning goal against team Manitoba to move the team on to the 5th place game. What people don't see is all the work that Noah put in to prepare for that moment. Bien fait Noah!

The 2022 Lacrosse New Brunswick Volunteer of the year award goes to Shelley Mason. They say your team manager is worth their weight in gold, well, there is no treasure chest that could carry they weight that Shelley did these past couple of years. Thank you Shelley!

The 2022 Lacrosse New Brunswick Coach of the Year award goes to Chris Burgess. Over the past 5+ years, in some dark times, Chris has been the ultimate role model for our athletes. His dedication, anything for the team attitude the countless hours puts in is awe inspiring.

The 2022 Lacrosse New Brunswick Sponsor of the Year award goes to FYi Doctors. FYi Doctors stepped up as our only Platinum sponsor & for that we would like to recognize them. Special thanks to Dan Fletcher for setting this up, as he is a local owner/operator based out of Moncton.

Last but not least, the 2022 Lacrosse New Brunswick Media Person of The Year goes to Jeffrey Boudreau, from Rogers TV. Jeffrey is the producer of the show "Across The Line," which did a 10 minute segment on our journey to the Canada Games.

The 2022 Official of The Year goes to Frazer Bykowski. Frazer was a mainstay for the Codiac Lacrosse Club this past year, also reffing in the NB High School Field Lacrosse League, the Maritime University Field Lacrosse League and the East Coast Junior Lacrosse League.

LNB welcomed a new President at the AGM in December, Mr. Jacob Norton. Jake is a visionary, determined & has blown a breath of fresh air into our organization. At 27 yrs old, Jake may well be the youngest Provincial Sport Organization President in the history of Lacrosse Canada.

We will not be a statistic! We are embracing change with open arms and looking to change the ethos of our organization. We have great people on board, ready to dig in, committed to being better. Watch out for us in 2023!

This past weekend Lacrosse New Brunswick held the first of 3 strategic planning sessions, led by Greg Evans from the NB Department of Tourism, Heritage & Culture. We also held our 2022 awards lunch. Both events were very well received. The future is bright for lacrosse in NB.

LNB is looking to fill it's vacancy and hire a new technical director. Salary will be commensurate with experience and discussed in the interview, along with the job responsibilities. Please reach out with any further questions. Due date for application is Feb 16.
