What a splendid Sunday for the Teddington in Flower day that the Deputy Mayor & Consort were escorted by Teddington Society member Andy & wife Jane round some amazing gardens. So different & innovative with so much effort put into the gardens raising funds for Kingston Samaritans Thanks.

The Dep. Mayor Cllr. Vollum attended RHACC for annual RichmondCVS fair with over 50 charities present. CrossroadsRichmond one of Mayor’s chosen charities was there but the event highlighted the wonderful selfless nature of our community in helping others. Wonderful event!

It was a pleasure to meet my newly elected London Mayors & represent our Borough as guests of Lord Mayor of London, Alastair King St Paul's Cathedral for a wonderful service at an iconic London landmark. We all made a treat for bemused tourists visiting our capital on a fabulous sunny day. Thank you.

I welcomed a group of 51 Taiwanese students to York House for an informative meeting in the council chamber. They asked very pertinent questions of me about the borough, one being how clean everywhere was! I understand their visits to Waldegrave School Turin House went well. Thanks

Deputy Mayor & Consort attended Arts Richmond UK OSO Arts Centre for the bi-annual Poetry Prize Competition supported by fabulous poet Roger McGough! It was a real treat to hear such diverse entries with an MC who really made the day, great event entries open for 2027 in the autumn

It was so wonderful to see our borough primary schools competing St. Mary's University sports field in the annual sports day. I was joined by AchievingForChildren Dir Education Services Charis Penfold to present prizes to the great children. Adrian Corke & his fantastic team did an excellent job!

The twinning re-affirmation weekend got off to a great start with a reception OrleansHouseGallery where I welcomed our guests from Fountainebleu & Konstanz for what’s going to be a fabulous series of events, continuing our association with European friends.

Our European guests were hosted by The Leader, Cllr Gareth Roberts at York House for a working breakfast where Thames Landscape Strategy ‘s Jason Debney gave enlightening presentation about how we are going to learn to ‘live wet’, clearly there was much more to his thought provoking talk!

With the re-affirmation at York House completed we all joined the European Youth Orchestra Landmark Arts Centre where we were treated to a first class concert, I thank the young people, their talent & commitment to to European ideal. Amazing programme to a packed house, well done! Thanks

We're excited to welcome The Christs Jazz Band tomorrow as they open the show! Come thru & support Richmond Borough's young jazz musicians!! 😊🎶😍 Doors/DJ 7pm Tickets - tktp.as/EFXQAI Mayor of Richmond Richmond Brass Band Twickenham Nub News Richmond Music Trust Arts Richmond UK
