Notes on the "freshman 15": -Fear mongering about weight gain is explicitly fat phobic. -On average, students gain only 2-5 pounds during their first year. -The transition to college is a high-risk time for eating disorder development. Encourage nutrition rather than restriction.

ā€œresearch into the characteristics of pts with severe and enduring EDs and into candidates for treatment withdrawal tends to overemphasise the role of individual psychopathology and personal difficulties rather than the inadequacy of systems to support patients and carersā€ - Yes!

If the rate continues, Philly will have been in every major sports (except hockey, sorry Flyers) final and lost…maybe the Philadelphia 76ers can break the streak. Thanks to the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, and Philadelphia Union for great seasons so far
