No time for horsing around this week, we've been training with our friends Surrey Fire & Rescue Service who have been demonstrating their large animal rescue capability 🐎

We are collecting warm coats for Wrap Up London again this year. Donated coats will be distributed to vulnerable and homeless people as the cold draws in. Coats can be dropped off at Kingston and Surbiton fire stations and other locations as specified at wrapupuk.org

We welcomed our London Ambulance Service friends today for some ad-hoc training and a look around their shiny new, fully-electric response car. We work really closely with the ambulance service and always enjoy hosting them (especially when they bring mince pies!)

All LFB Kingston crews worked hard at a fire at an educational facility late last night. The fire was brought under control swiftly and there were no reports of any casualties. Specialist teams are working to establish the cause of the fire.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated warm winter coats to us as part of the Wrap Up London project. Kingston fire station alone has received over 200 coats that will be donated to those in need in time for the cold weather ahead.

We wanted to show our appreciation to the hard-working staff at Kingston Hospital by dropping in some treats over the Christmas period. Thanks to you all Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust

All LFB Kingston fire engines have been responding to the large substation fire in Hayes that affected Heathrow Airport. Kingston's heavy distribution unit also attended to deliver tonnes of foam that was used to help fight the fire.

Thanks to everyone who attended our open day at New Malden Fire station today! Great fun was had by all and we raised a whopping £572 for the Fire Fighters Charity!
