Today some of the team took one of the modules to show the hero’s in headsets North West Fire Control what it is we carry and what makes up a team. So when they mobilise the capability we are out the doors in minutes.#oneteam

Big thanks to Hanson cements for facilitating us practicing some of our rope skills and trying out the SKYLOTEC powered ascender so we can see how we can integrate it into rescues at height amongst other areas of technical rescue within the service #Innovation #notjustfires

Combining two disciplines today with breaking and breaching and working at height. An added bonus was LFRS_ Health Fitness & Wellbeing coming down to check in on everyone and brought 🍰 which we exchanged for some bristols so they could have a go.

Interesting week so far and there’s still 2 days left, responding to a variety of incidents as well as some multi agency work with our partners developing skills and learning new skills, ensuring we continually evolve to risks we are presented with.

This afternoon we had the privilege to welcome Blesma for a tour of the station and a chat about what we do and discuss their time in the military.

Today see’s the introduction of a new piece of equipment for our rope rescue. The powered ascender will allow a smoother transitions for casualties and help the team stay casualty focused. Thanks to Rod Steele & @Lancs_FireCFO allowing us to innovate and evolve with technology
