Farncombe hosts a new #LGBT night, years after we brought you #BornFree. (The Freeholders is now being converted into flats - we'll take the credit for taking the pub down). Get yourself to the White Hart on the 29th September and help raise money for Pride in Surrey! 🍺 🌈

.Graham Linehan 🎗️ is urging Mumsnet users to pressure @BigLotteryFund to take money away from Mermaids, a vitally important charity for young people and their families. My childhood would have been far less difficult with them. Let Big Lottery know if you feel the same way

Last winter was the first time Chris had ever slept outside. His parents had found out he was #bisexual and told him he wasn't allowed in their house anymore. This winter we need your help to keep more LGBTQ+ young people #OutOfTheCold. Please visit: akt.org.uk/outofthecold

We are disappointed and hope the @BigLotteryFund stand by their initial decision to fund the vital work of Mermaids . Withdrawing funding could endanger the lives of the young people who are some of the most vulnerable members of the LGBT+ community today.

On 28 December 1725, twenty five men were arrested for 'misbehaving' at a molly house (a tavern or rooms where gay men met) in Covent Garden. They had been dancing, some wearing drag, and despite resisting arrest, none were prosecuted. #QueerBritain #OnThisDay

On this day in 1987 Diana opened the UK’s first HIV & AIDS care unit at Middlesex Hospital. She shook the hand of a patient. Diana knew she wouldn’t get HIV from a handshake and when the news went global, her gesture of understanding made sure millions of others knew this too
