An unforgettable moment for six-year-old Cali who has beaten cancer. 👊 Cali was diagnosed with a rare type of leukaemia in December 2022. After two years of treatment at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, she rang the end of treatment bell watched on by her family. 🔔

It's Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week. We're improving services for pregnant women and new mums to make sure they get the mental health support they need. Baroness Merron visited Queen Elizabeth Hospital Maternity Unit Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust to meet staff and patients.

I was delighted to be welcomed back by Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust this morning to visit the new Acute Sickle Cell Unit (ASCU) at University Hospital Lewisham. The ASCU is aiming to provide a vital 24/7 emergency department bypass for Sickle Cell patients in crisis.
