Today the #LHC began injecting beams ready for Run III, meaning operations have begun at the LHCb Experiment with Anja taking one of the first shifts! Want to learn more? LHCb UK has launched a new Instagram highlighting our early career scientists! instagram.com/lhcb_uk_studenโฆ

We have posted the first of our #LHCb UK Student profiles to Instagram today featuring the designer of our new logo Richard Williams! Richard is a first year PhD student at Cambridge University as well as the Publicity Officer for Cambridge Hands-On Science! Find out more at instagram.com/lhcb_uk_studenโฆ

Thanks Matt Kenzie for the really interesting Warwick Physics EPP seminar on Custom Orthogonal Weights ๐. Work done in collaboration with other stats experts from LHCb Experiment

The installation of the new LHCb Experiment Vertex Locator started today! To find out more, check out our latest Instagram post, featuring two UK students at CERN #restartingLHC #UKatCERN instagram.com/p/CdN4F5noPLa/

This detector might not be big, but without it LHCb Experiment physics would not be possible. It's the upgraded VELO detector, product of years of work by many people in many institutes. It's faster, more precise, and will soon be ready for #Run3!

Yesterday evening 21:11 o'clock, after 8 hours ago installation of the LHCb Experiment upgrade A-side VELO started, the vacuum was closed (๐ on)

Continuing with our #LHCb UK Student profiles today featuring Mary Slipper! Mary Slipper Mary is a first year PhD student at The University of Edinburgh and will be researching CP Violation using LHCb Experiment #Run3 data! Read more about Mary at instagram.com/lhcb_uk_studenโฆ
