3A boys long jump: Liberty T&F Anthony Otero was 8th, leaping 22-9.5 on his fifth jump to secure the medal Nazareth Athletics Austin Boyce (20-10.75) was 21st.

Freedom gets a runner but Mariano Jr. shuts the door for the complete game shutout. Canes win 1-0 and advance to the District XI championship to face either Nazareth or Parkland. Canes also punch their tickets to states.

LIBERTY 1, FREEDOM 0 LHS Varsity Baseball is going to its 4th straight PIAA District XI 6A final. They won despite being outhit 9-2.

HURRICANES STORM BACK LHS Varsity Baseball kept its season alive by rallying for an 11-3 win over West Chester Henderson. Canes scored 4 in the 6th and 6 in the 7th to reach the 6A quarterfinals.

Thursday’s PIAA State Quarterfinal matchup against Mifflin Baseball is scheduled for 11am at DeSales University.
