Labour's manifesto promised to "remove indignities for trans people who deserve recognition & acceptance". That entails ending the Tories' ban on puberty blockers. Young people – cis & trans – must have access to healthcare they need. I'll always stand with the trans community.

1. I understand the anger, but these attacks on Government ministers will make getting voices heard far more difficult. We need to get people in the room that can explain a) the efficacy & safety, & scienceof PBs b) why the Cass review is flawed, not just the science, but …

If we didn’t already have enough reasons to reject this god awful offer, here’s another: It’ll mean scrapping the BMA rate card and effectively tell the government we will work extra for minimal pay. This cannot stand. REJECT. REJECT. REJECT.

I hope colleagues take the time to read the replies of other colleagues with expertise rather than journalist who engage in inflammatory writing There is and always will be a place for this sort of union work. Those who hold leadership roles in healthcare should remember this

UK school librarians told to remove LGBTQ books, including titles like Heartstopper. This is Section 28 by the back door. You can’t teach children to be gay but you can teach them that it’s ok if they are. attitude.co.uk/culture/hearts…

Removing paid breaks is not a wellbeing initiative, it's a cost-cutting measure MFT NHS   We are amazed that you are trying to impose this change after BMA reps objected. The Junior Doctor Contract you claim to want to mirror mandates paid breaks. Our LNC is on the case.

This is doubly true for medical students. The discounts we get for international conferences are laughable. This is doubly so when you consider that airlines, hotels etc don’t give a shit whether you’re a student or not so you’re still paying full price.

The Observer is shouting loudly about how the BMA will ruin its reputation by ensuring there is proper scrutiny of the controversial Cass Review. But once again it's all just the opinion of BMJ stalwart Jacky Davis, who has already made her views clear on the matter.

This month, despite opposition, the 1st Medical Doctor Degree Apprenticeship (MDDA) launched. The BMA have many concerns - inequity, lacking WP, funding, NHS impact. Important we don't blame the 20 students starting, it’s not their fault for MDDAs! It's NHS England 's new 'ideas'

One of the world's 1st 4-year undergrad medical degree is another concerning NHS England project underway. Meeting with the project team today for The BMA/BMA Students Concerns: evaluation, student welfare, funding, international recognition. #MedTwitter Any more to add to list?

Well. Just got blocked by House of Lords member Emma Harriet Nicholson. For pointing out that it is INCREDIBLY offensive to imply that Section 28 was helping to stop gay men from giving each other aids.

Wait. Are people defending Section 28 now? Twenty-one years after it was repealed and universally condemned as a disgraceful chapter in UK history. People are now actually defending it?

Israel deliberately targets refugees in hospitals, schools & destroying vaccination sites. Innocent people being burned alive. Every day, we witness unimaginable horrors & complete disregard for international law. No sanctions, just more arms. Failure and complicity. For shame.
