Meet the Dogs. This is Schweppes he is 18 months old and a Swiss Hound, the only one in UK we believe. Schweppes is training as a man-trailing dog, this means that he can be presented with a scent article of the missing person and follow them.

We are very proud of LONSAR’s 14 recipients of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medals. Members of our team were awarded this medal as a token of the nation’s thanks for five years of service in a voluntary capacity, supporting frontline emergency services personnel.

Last week I was pleased to present Platinum Jubilee medals to members of London Search and Rescue.  Volunteers who work at their own cost & risk to help the blue light services find lost people.  Just what The Queen meant when She spoke of the able helping the vulnerable.
