#30DaysWild Day 21: a lucky encounter to catch these mating #demoiselles #damselflies. We haven't seen as many by the river this year, but they just loved the sunshine today ☀️

#30DaysWild day 22: evening peace on the river. Swans and lilypads, watching fish rise and riverbank mammals splash from time to time. The banks are recovering from more floods than ever this year, with fishing platforms overtaken by brambles and fallen willow. #rivertees #nature

#30DaysWild Day 23: making the most of the weather for #wildswimming in the Tees. The water is still a bit chilly but so nice to have a dip and come out to warm sunshine! ☀️

#30DaysWild Day 25: Repeated experiences of natural places build confident, balanced approaches to risk taking. This fallen tree is a site for balancing, sliding, hopping... And importantly a stage to enact #bearhunt, which is retold every time she passes "swishyswashy" branches.

#30DaysWild Day 27: Research by the river for Chapter 3: 'Inclusive & holistic practice in outdoor learning'. Reflecting on ways to support children's belonging, safety and sensory integration through #natureconnection. Inspired by damselflies & orchestral soundtracks of birdsong

#30DaysWild Day 28: a sad start to the day. This small strip in Yarm has been scalped by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council destroying a great range of #habitats, mammals and insects finding refuge there. Why?? It's not overgrowing a path or preventing access? Absolutely bereft #RestoreNatureNow

#30DaysWild Day 30: taking in peaceful beach vibes breathing in space while kids splash. This challenge has taught me to embrace the Art of Slow. And opened my eyes to tough times for nature. #silentspring was a big shock, but with our help to #RestoreNatureNow it will recover 🌱

These stones aren't stones. This stick is not a stick. Wonderful worlds full of meaning, awe and wonder are inscribed in the #forest through taking it #slow through unstructured #play. #naturalplay #forestschool #slowpedagogy

This buddleia should be full of butterflies, bees & other insects. Not a single creature on these beautiful blooms. #silentspring continues into #silentsummer. Can anyone offer insight into what's happening this year? It's very worrying ... Hopeful for swift return of the buzz🙏

Felt v. optimistic visiting the capital this week. A great sense of change & positive energy flows from the centre. It will take #creativity & #togetherness will fix the mess we are in. Let's Channel #postivity with eyes to the future, not dwell on sesspool fuckups of the past.

Thoughts on the implications of Portugal’s efforts to make inclusion a centerpiece of educational policymaking. Strong messages here for our new UK government. We need radical change…… but it will take time! Source: International Education News search.app/qcMySbKJ7Wwzgi…
