Tomorrow's commencement ceremony will take place at the Lakefront Arena & we can't wait! Just a quick heads-up, however, the arena has implemented a new bag policy in the last year and we want to make sure that everyone is aware before heading out for the big celebration!

The LSU SPH is thrilled to announce the hiring of Dr. Barry Keim as the new director in the Environmental Science program! Interested in climate extremes, his unique perspective will offer insight into how climate change is affecting human health. Welcome aboard, Dr. Keim!

All good luck comes to an end and, after two quiet years, LA is facing its first hurricane in a while. With the bulk of the effects being felt tonight and tomorrow, the LSU SPH encourages everyone to get ready NOW! Check out some of these tips from ready.gov/hurricanes.

A quick heads up that the LSU SPH will be closed on Wednesday, 9/11 and Thursday, 9/12, due to Hurricane Francine. All students, staff and faculty are reminded to check their email for further direction and are encouraged to sign up for the university text alert system.
