Last week our Year 12 students presented their group projects to their family, friends and their mentors from Lancaster University They did a fantastic job and we are very proud of all the hard work and effort they put into their projects Lancaster University Mathematical Sciences

LUSoM will be closed from 13:30 today and all day tomorrow as we will be holding our parent consultation appointments. The school office will remain open from 08:00 - 16:30 if you have any queries regarding your appointments with our teachers.

Thanks to Bolton School for hosting me and planning a terrific day for local schools. The lab experiments were great - big thanks to all the teachers involved. Last week we visited 3 local schools with Simon Singh to meet their Year 9 Maths class Brownedge St Mary's Broughton High School and St Marys RC High School. Simon delivered a 30-minute masterclass to the students and our Outreach Director shared our events and activities at LUSoM.

Last week Kisanth, a bank ambassador from the Bank of England, delivered a talk on Financial Services in the UK to Y12. His session included the history and purpose of the Bank of England and a summary of the employment and degree apprenticeship routes into the financial sector.
