#OnThisDay in 1967, the Supreme Court of the US (SCOTUS) ruled in a unanimous decision that the prohibition on interracial marriage was unconstitutional. The Loving v. Virginia decision overruled the previous ruling made in Pace v. Alabama in 1883.
