This is so sad. I’ve pretty much been reading the NYT Sports section since the moment I learned to read.

All these outlets act like sports are just so unimportant or unappealing, as if it’s not one of the most shared experiences in the world that people are actively looking to engage with, whether it’s writing/reporting about games, or connecting it to the wider world.
