Room 10 enjoyed a recent visit from the GeoBus team! They had a go at creating their own earthquake in the class, building earthquake proof buildings and protecting their villages from volcanic eruptions. 🌋🌍

Room 7 have been learning all about information reports this week. On Thursday they worked successfully in teams to carefully organise the key information. Today, they have started to use this information to write their own reports all about the Arctic Circle. ❄️ 🧊 🐻‍❄️

Room 4 developed their creativity and innovation skills this week during Play! From designing comic strips to building cities and painting masterpieces, imagination was in full swing across all stations. Fantastic work, everyone! 🎨🧱✨

Room 2 have been building train tracks and problem solving how to create bridges over them! They have also been sharing designs for paper aeroplanes and seeing which ones would fly furthest! #play

Room 5 have been developing their racket confidence and learning to apply tactics during doubles games!

The Emotion Works Pupil Leadership Team were hard at work this afternoon learning about the blue cog. The children worked together to think about different ways that we can regulate our emotions when we are feeling sad. We made a list of strategies to share with the school!

Room7 have been sharing lots of sporting success! Calum and Matthew had a successful time at their swimming meet. Robbie made it to the final of the Scottish Boxing Golden Gloves. Matthew’s curling team had a successful day and he was awarded a medal for the best shot of the day.

Room 9 have been working extremely hard this week creating air dry clay models of Greyfriars Bobby. We have really been loving this topic. Fantastic work everyone!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎨 🐶 👏

As part of their topic work, Room 6 explored civil rights scenarios through role play 🎭 They all performed for their classmates and were able to give each other constructive feedback for next time 👏🏼

Room 7 have been busy developing their skills in data handling through our class topic, The Arctic. 📊 📈 This week they have been learning to read and display data using pictograms.

Room 5 have been researching local charities to understand how these organisations meet the needs of the local community. They have also been learning how to stay safe when researching online.

During their kindness PLT, Room 4 explored how acts of kindness bring joy to everyone involved! The children each wrote an anonymous compliment for a classmate. It was so much fun and created a lovely keepsake! ⭐️❤️
