He doesn't get his just due when talking music. George Duke was a musical savant. When I go back and listen to his work, it was so diverse and timeless.

George Duke should be widely revered for sure. Not only was he a key figure in spearheading jazz fusion, his innovative ability to hop between genres and expand the possibilities of jazz was second to none. He also doesn't get enough recognition as a producer.
