Delighted that the Governors have voted to give parents a voice in the future of the school. Integrated status will have parents greater involvement in the school and increased representation on the Board of Governors. Parental ballot will take place mid-May.

Hear what @kennybpb has to say about our parental ballot on a move to Integrated Status. Watch out for updates on dates for parent information sessions and FAQs about integration. The most important thing is that all parents take the opportunity to have their say!

An amazing opportunity for my own beloved High School Larne High School to take its next evolution to integrated education for our amazing community & for all future Larne scholars. A great journey since the gates opened back in 1957.

Local fashion designer Geraldine Connon, who has been involved with some of our GCSE and A Level Art students recently on a very successful fashion design competition, has offered her thoughts on Larne High School becoming an integrated school.

Really great see @NiallCurneen and others from Larne Football Club giving their support to the staff and governors of Larne High School in the ballot for #integration. It shows they really are #Forthetown!

Our next thought on integration comes from local writer and Larne High parent Angeline King Writer. Remember that all parents have a vote and that our first parent information session will take place on 30th April.

With a decision for parents to make about the future of our school coming soon, we have the following information sessions. We encourage all parents to make the most of these opportunities to learn about integration, think about what it could mean for LHS and ask questions.

Another important question to consider in preparation for our parental ballot... Remember that we have a series of parent information sessions planned to help parents have a full understanding of a potential transformation to integrated status. The first session is on 30 April.

News of our integration ballot seems to be spreading! Watch as Tim McGarry (aka Da) gives his reaction to the news! Look out for some thoughts from our staff in a video later this week.

One of the concerns often raised about schools transforming to integrated status is about what this might mean for pupils hoping to attend the school in the future and how pupils are awarded a place in the school. Have a read of the answer to this question to learn more...

The entire Larne High School community is deeply saddened to learn of the death of former pupil Leah Sloan/McCrea. We send our deepest sympathies to her family and friends. Leah, you never were, nor never will be, forgotten by you teachers here. Rest easy darling girl.
