We've had a few sessions in the last couple of weeks talking to residents. Many are raising issues about housing. Meanwhile, the major development planned in Bow has very little affordable housing.

Really frustrating that the poor management of Wednesday's Full Council meant we didn't get to debate our motion on Mayor Rahman's failure on social housing. We will come back to it, but meanwhile tenants + homeless families will continue to suffer thru the lack of accountability

Each time we stand up in this House to question the Foreign Secretary there is a new horror in Gaza unfolding. I welcome increased humanitarian funding from the UK Government. But the situation on the ground is barbaric. Yesterday I asked, where is this Government’s red line?

We've had another few sessions talking to residents in Bow over the last couple of weeks. Alongside issues over housing, new concerns were raised over extended, indefinite mobility issues as the council fails to install charging points in its notified timeline.

Bow east councillors have outlined in Tower Hamlets Slice - daily news & culture how once again Bow residents are being ignored and not given a voice on the decisions made about their local neighbourhood. In this case, the council's refusal to engage with residents on the substance misuse recovery centre.

Its now a thousand days since Mayor Lutfur Rahman declared a "waste emergency". Despite this and spending an additional £5 million, refuse + recycling collections continue to be missed, including this pile which has still been left even after being reported 4 times. #NotBestValue

After nearly 10 years helping tenants trying to get Clarion Housing to deal with the subsidence affecting the front walls of its houses on Fairfield Rd, i am pleased this work has finally been completed - and done quite nicely too. Next step, weatherproof windows and patio doors!

In July, we were told the creation of a drug rehab centre in Roman Road market wasn't a 'key decision' as it didn't affect two wards. Have just heard that the future of the Hackney Road hostel in a ward represented by an Aspire cllr is now a key decision as it impacts two wards🤔

Out in Bow this evening with Bow West Labour Party, lots of concern from residents about housing and Clarion failing to address repairs, and fly tipping.
