Stars of the Week🌟 Well done to Amelia, Arlo and Esme for last week! Great work in reading, maths, history and wider subject areas. We had a lovely celebration assembly on Friday last week, listening to a song about St George and the dragon as it was St George’s Day last Tuesday

Yesterday the Adventurers all planted a sunflower seed as part of their Science learning - we know that a seed has to have water, sunlight and the right temperature to grow healthily. We are going to be planting other seeds this term too as part of our Science topic on plants🌻🌞

As part of their topic ‘People who help us’, Explorers have been learning about Machines and how they make our jobs easier. They've found out about gears, levers and pulleys. Today we focused on cranes. We made our own, using string, a stick and a pipe cleaner. #developingexperts

Ready, Set, Go!🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ This week's PE lessons were all about speed, teamwork, and coordination! Our pupils have been practicing sprinting and nailed the 'get ready' stance, honing those techniques to launch like rockets off the starting line! 🚀

As part of our ‘People Who Help Us’ topic, the Reception class were very lucky to welcome Jade, who is a veterinary nurse at Castle Vets. She told us about the work she does to look after animals and let the children interact with equipment that she uses everyday. 🐶🐱🩺

🏅🌞Sports Day 2024! 🏃‍🏃‍♀️ What an amazing afternoon we had on Tuesday this week! A huge congratulations to everyone for taking part in the races. The sun shone, the children displayed fantastic sportsmanship, and the support from parents and carers was brilliant.

Last week we had the opportunity to visit the building that will become the new library in the future! We had fun drawing ideas of what we would like to have in the new library. Our ideas (in the style of stained glass windows) will be on display in the windows of the building

Yesterday, the Adventurers went on a school trip to Bodmin Railway Station! 🚂 It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn about the history of transport, perfectly tying in with our current history topic.

An absolutely magical day at Plymouth Aquarium with our youngest children. The Explorers went on an ocean safari, learning about the oceans’ fascinating creatures. They then created their very own sea creature whilst learning about the differences between fish and whales. 🐠🦈
