šŸ“¢ Very important thread from Karon Monaghan KC on why the #AssistedDyingBill is bad news for women who are subjected to domestic violence & coercive control, and is likely contrary to the ECHR

I wish Starmer could say , as with the Ariana Grande concert the targets of this 'new" kind of terrorism are women and girls. Not simply children. This is part of the ideology, part of the radicalisation and there is nearly always a history of abuse toward women. Face it.

If the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) bill is passed, it would be the biggest change that this country has seen for many decades, on the back of less than seven hours debate. In comparison, the fox hunting bill endured hundreds of hours of debate.

No one would deny the importance of primary steel for our industry & security. But it’s reasonable to ask why it required an emergency recall when British Steel have been saying it was on the brink for weeks. Or how we can ever make it competitive without lowering energy costs

I genuinely don’t understand this pretence by Labour MPs in affected areas that they wanted a national inquiry all along. Sarah voted against one just a few weeks ago. And earlier this year maintained to me here that IICSA had already done the job.
