Great presentation this morning at LeadershipSC by Major TJ Geary. We learned of ways to respond in a crisis and certainly have a lot to think about. This was my favorite quote of the morning.

.Lauren Baker Griggs and I had a delightful time with the seniors at the Lee Co Council on Aging this morning. Duke Energy partnered with the CoA to host a resource fair with 15 partner agencies and I got to share energy efficiency tips with the group too.

The Duke Energy Regional Advisory Board gathered today at Florence 1 Schools The Farm facility. It was the perfect to combine the Duke Energy Foundationâs philanthropy efforts with a focus on agriculture and its importance in our communities. Our speakers and the facility were amazing

Empowering the next generation! These Duke Energy line workers and Robinson Nuclear Plant employees shared their knowledge and passion for STEM careers with students at the Chesterfield-Ruby Middle School Career Fair today.

As April comes to a close, so has my time in LeadershipSC. This program has taught me far more about our state than I ever thought I had left to learn. I am grateful to Duke Energy for affording me the opportunity to participate in this program. đ

.Duke Energy was well represented at tonightâs Roastin' With Rotary event. Good food, great company, and community spirit on full display in Hartsville tonight.

Loaded up on a bus with my Duke Energy teammates to evaluate potential sites for a new substation and switch yard. There are many characteristics we take into consideration in order to pick the best available site to allow us to serve our customers efficiently and effectively.

It has turned out to be a beautiful morning in Hartsville at Darlington County Community Action Agencyâs 60th anniversary celebration and resource fair. Duke Energy is proud to join other community partners for this outreach event.

June 1 marks the beginning of storm season. Prepare now by downloading the Duke Energy and American Red Cross emergency apps. These apps provide critical information, including outage alerts and shelter locations. Find these and other resources in our Storm Center:

.Duke Energy and other partners came together in Society Hill yesterday to help local seniors prepare for hurricane season at an event hosted by South Carolina Department on Aging and Vantage Point by CareSouth Carolina. Attendees heard from local agencies, picked up preparedness resources, and enjoyed lunch.

Cheraw & Chesterfield County friends, Duke Energy crews are on the ground (and in the swamp) working to repair the issue causing this morningâs outage. We appreciate your patience and assure you that weâre working to get the lights back on as quickly as possible. đĄ

Hurricane season is here and so are Duke Energy HERO grants, equipping our community first responders with the tools they need to respond to disasters. It was truly an honor to present a grant to @HartsvilleSC for their purchase of a UTV that will be an asset in storm response.

It was great to be with the Town of Cheraw last night to present them with a Duke Energy Foundation HERO Grant. Theyâll be using the funds to create a mobile command center that will make them ready to respond during disasters, emergencies, or large events.

What a beautiful setting in Downtown Darlington this morning for Darlington Co. Coordinating Councilâs monthly resource event. A dozen partners set up to meet one on one with community members and provide them resource information. Duke Energy was glad to be a part!

Itâs a gift as a young professional to learn from someone that has spent 40 years with a company. Today is Mindy Taylorâs work anniversary. I consider myself blessed to have the opportunity to work alongside her and soak in just a small bit of her knowledge and professionalism.

It was so great to see a room full of people at House of Hope of the Pee Dee Blessing of the Building in Hartsville last night. Their willingness to stand in the gap in Hartsville is incredible and I canât wait to see the ways they will bless this community. đ
