2KR had a fantastic day at Brockholes yesterday 😀! It was great to have a day out in the fresh air and we learnt all about rivers and the water cycle. 💧🌲

2R loved their trips to Brockholes yesterday where we explored the features of a river and the water cycle! 💧🌎 We are definitely fans of the great outdoors and learning using natural resources 🌳

Before half term, we celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in school. We had a whole school picnic, made crowns, made up some of our own rules and wrote a letter to send our congratulations to the Queen. 2M had the best time! 🇬🇧👸🏼👑💂‍♀️

2M’s reading rockstars! 🎸 We have loved getting lost in stories this week, getting to take part in a workshop with Ursula Hurst and have enjoyed a reading picnic with parents and children from St Mary’s High School. 💙📚

Year 2 had a wonderful visit and workshop from Ursula Hurst last week for our Reading Week! 😄 We were inspired by her story ‘Drawing Hope’ so we decided to create our own hope flags to spread positivity throughout our classroom. 🌈

We enjoyed making smoothies in Year 2 today. We have spent this half-term designing and bringing our own smoothies to life! ☀️🌈
