A2: My most favorite thing was looking at the Milky Way. The beauty was indescribable. From then on I’ve never seen the sky the same way. #STEAMinthePARK

A2: The hiking and exploring. Sometimes planned and sometimes spur of the moment. Getting outside and thinking of ways to either get my students outside or bring the outdoors inside is so important. #STEAMinthePARK

A2: My favorite story was walking out to view the synchronized lightning bugs for the first time. It was obvious that I wasn't alone on how it impacted me. Our group stood in silent awe of these amazing creatures. #STEAMinthePARK GreatSmokyNPS

@dacia92 My best camp experience with #STEAMinthePark has been participating in learning experiences around the national parks, and meetings, so many educators, who want to make learning, engaging and relevant.

A3- Since participating in #STEAMinthePARK I have walked to and from school each day. Now I take the time to really appreciate what nature is showing me. I also started a Nature Club at school.

A3: Although the winter months make it more challenging to get outside, getting outside is a priority. Since we are very much indoors now, looking out the windows and pointing out whatever natural is happening outside. #STEAMinthePARK

A3 - #STEAMinthePark - almost daily we have a nature cam or nature sounds streaming from the projector or a blue tooth speaker - it changes the whole vibe of the classroom!

A3: As far as my daily life, I hike as often as possible & I've joined local outdoor clubs which offer varied annual trips - it helps to be w/ like-minded folks. For education I work closely with my asst principal in developing an outdoor STEM education program. #STEAMinthePARK

Q3: I incorporate my experiences and my love for the outdoors in the STEAM challenges I provide each week. #STEAMinthePARK has inspired me to get kids excited about being outside and appreciative of the world around them.

A4 #STEAMinthePark - collaboration IS key! I couldn't begin to see how we were going to make family portraits out of things we picked up off the ground, but with Coleen Rooney we ended up making a whole scene recreation of VoyageursNPS experience!

A4: Collaboration is key! I need to bounce ideas off others and share the load. We also looked for community partners to assist w/ school projects. These partners offer expertise, provide materials, or help w/ funding. Our success would be limited w/out them. #STEAMinthePARK

Q4: collaboration is difficult for students, but once they get it … it’s a beautiful thing. They build on each other’s strengths and accomplish great things. #STEAMinthePark

#4 Collaboration is SO essential! Being able to talk through situations allows everyone the chance to build ideas and grow them into solutions. I cherish times I get to collaborate with others β€” amazing things tend to be the result. #STEAMinthePARK

Q5: my favorite type of PD is when we’re interacting and learning from each other. Movement. Conversations. #STEAMinthePark
