On my way back to Marseille after giving my 1st new lecture ⁦Collège de France⁩ this morning on Biological information. It was great to be back! Video and pdf available in 2 days. Stay tuned. Paris was beautiful, La Sorbonne glowing at night and Notre-Dame almost fully recovered 🤩

In Cell, I share a major conceptual challenge for biology in the next decade, inspired by Crick’s Central Dogma: understanding information flow in the cell, the smallest indivisible unit of life bit.ly/4hQMmva

It was wonderful to host Jürgen Knoblich IBDM and CENTURI - Turing Centre for Living Systems today 🤩. A great illustration of how organoids pave the way for a deeper understanding of human development and physiology. Lovely dinner with Sham Tlili, Frank Schnorrer and Baptiste Libé-Philippot yesterday.

It is with my heart broken that I share that Philippe Bastiaens, Max Plank Director and my PhD advisor has passed away 💔. Philippe had a huge impact in my life and where I am today. His premature passing is heartbreaking. DM me if you would like to be informed of next steps. 🙏
