Pleased to share the publication of our paper showing the role of EGFR in coordinating morphogenetic movements in Developmental Cell. Congratulations MIT Biology postdoc, nat clarke for all your hard work! Article: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39461341/

On my way back to Marseille after giving my 1st new lecture Collège de France this morning on Biological information. It was great to be back! Video and pdf available in 2 days. Stay tuned. Paris was beautiful, La Sorbonne glowing at night and Notre-Dame almost fully recovered 🤩

It was wonderful to host Jürgen Knoblich IBDM and CENTURI - Turing Centre for Living Systems today 🤩. A great illustration of how organoids pave the way for a deeper understanding of human development and physiology. Lovely dinner with Sham Tlili, Frank Schnorrer and Baptiste Libé-Philippot yesterday.

Here is the link to video of introduction course Collège de France on biological information. A historical perspective on representations of the genome, highlighting contributions of von Neumann, Jacob&Monod, Waddington, Alberch etc. Video (french)+pdf (english): tinyurl.com/y4k44cd4

Happy to share link to video & pdf of 2nd lecture Collège de France on biological information. I present & discuss general properties of Biological Codes (genetic, transcriptional, signalling and adhesion codes) dealing with balance btw diversity & specificity. tinyurl.com/5dv39v4v

Happy to share link to pdf/video of lecture Collège de France on Encoding, decoding & representations of space. I present how length scales are defined in biol., Shannon information theory, positional information & patterning in guided/self-organised systems. Enjoy tinyurl.com/y85ft5nj

⬇️ link to pdf/video of 4th lecture Collège de France 😊: "Encoding, decoding and representations of Time". I discuss global & local tuning of biological timescales. Information decoded from dynamics can be quantified & is rich. Ex in vitro and in vivo. Enjoy! tinyurl.com/2n8n3s9u

See ⬇️ link to pdf/video of lecture Collège de France on Structural & geometric information 🤩. An opportunity to broaden the concept of heredity beyond genomes. Tomorrow, last lecture of this year on Biological information, devoted to Memory & learning in cells. tinyurl.com/2y7hpu2r

Great time after last course Collège de France today in company of Aleks Walczak, Vincent Hakim, François Schweisguth, Jacques Prost and Pierre Sens 🤩. This series of courses on information was an amazing (&exhausting) experience. 16th May, Symposium at CdF on information processing.

⬇️ link to pdf & video of last course Collège de France on biological information, devoted to cellular learning & memory. Learnability manifests across scales from molecules to networks, structures and whole cells. Much to think further about. Enjoy! tinyurl.com/n4hfx4ec
