Nearly 3 years on from this interview with LBC the situations described by our CEO Matt Hodges-Long persist. Innocent victims of the #BuildingSafetyCrisis remain unsafe as well as being punished and abandoned by their Government Angela Rayner Keir Starmer #CrisisResponse

👉Giles Grover “.. GOV.UK created a bureaucratic beast .. making matters worse…There’s no grip & everyone is focused on covering their arses, so the buck just keeps getting passed around.” 🛑Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Gov Rushanara Ali MP 💙 blameless #nonqualifyingLH buck STOPS-u11m & where no developer‼️

🙏Leeds Cladding Scandal .. “those of us who live & own leases ..ongoing wait for safety..shock at finding out homes not safe..passed bills £k’s for interim measures & living years with threat eventual remediation bill £100k’s could be legally charged back to us.” ⚖️ #nonqualifyingLH

End Our Cladding Scandal Angela Rayner The Labour Party Alex Norris MP We ask for… “A new approach that protects all LH’’s 👉from costs to fix all cladding & non-cladding defects 👉Legislate & fund a pathway to fix buildings under 11m as …assessors conclude there are defects All homes must have a clear pathway to full remediation… as stalled”

🗣️ Campaign group End Our Cladding Scandal wants the Government to protect all leaseholders from costs to fix all fire risks, not just cladding. Liberal Democrats agree—do the Government? Watch Friday's House of Lords debate 👉parliamentlive.tv/Event/Index/db… Read the transcript 👉hansard.parliament.uk/lords/2024-11-…

🗣️"None of these leaseholders are responsible in any way... If we do not get a grip on it, this will be the next major national scandal." Building safety remediation on the agenda again today in House of Lords👇 📺 14:47-14:57: parliamentlive.tv/Event/Index/99… hansard.parliament.uk/lords/2024-11-…

If you're sick of the way this government is dealing with the cladding scandal, despite promises in opposition, sign this petition in respect of the desperate situation non qualifying leaseholders find themselves in, for ever, unless something changes... petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7101…

The Building Safety Act was born of hasty, ill thought through drafting, ignoring long term consequences. The impact for non qualifying leaseholders is life changing detriment. Sign this petition asking Angela Rayner to keep her promise and look again... petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7101…

Harry Scoffin We hoped that Labour would keep its opposition promises on leasehold reform and BSA reform. Instead, it just seems to me more of the same chummy approach to big businesses running this corrupt system. What a disappointment! Angela Rayner and Keir Starmer - what are you doing?

Good that Kevin Hollinrake MP mentioned this in his question, but Angela Rayner didn't respond and has made no commitments to do anything about the injustice suffered by non-qualifying leaseholders. Will Labour do anything to convince us that they are any better than the last lot?

And where are Angela Rayner Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Gov ? What on earth are they actually doing? More reviews? The Labour Party

The living hell of the #claddingscandal. Exposed in a double page spread in today's The Yorkshire Post. Please do #buyapaper. End Our Cladding Scandal Leeds Cladding Scandal

A great suite of articles by Greg Wright in Yorkshire Post which is essential reading for all affected by the building safety catastrophe. For those of us who are 'non qualifying' leaseholders, this one is especially relevant yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/cladding-… Costs £1 for one day access.

Thanks to Martina Lees & Peter Apps in The Times and The Sunday Times doing to detailed work on the #BuildingSafetyScandal Product manufacturers + dodgy test certificates + millions in profit = no justice for those who died or live with the risk. #EndOurCladdingScandal thetimes.com/life-style/pro…

If a building is in the Developer Contract, you'd think the developer is obliged to pay for a waking watch / alarm if their assessments say interim measures are needed. Nope. Leaseholders are still forced to pay for the useless waking watch 👇🏼 This is "justice" the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Gov way.

Labour says that something might be done to 'sunset' the position where non-qualifying leases remain so for ever, even after cladding replaced. Simple. Just amend the Act to remove non-qualifying status. It should never have been there in the first place! questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-questi…
