Legal Aid traces its roots to Goodrich House, a social settlement at the southeast corner of Bond (later East 6th) St. and St. Clair Ave. There, a group of forward-thinking Clevelanders first discussed how a lawyer might help neighborhood residents with their legal problems.

Nearly 3 out of every 4 U.S. households with low income experienced one or more civil legal problems in the past year. In Ohio, only 7% of legal needs are met for people with low incomes. Legal Aid works to fill the justice gap. @lsctweets #LSCMatters #ExtendJustice
