A well cool Leicester choir performing sacred and secular classical music including, yes, the works of JS Bach but also ranging from 15th to 21st centuries.

Several LBC members have suffered and survived the virus and all seem to be in good spirits despite lockdown. Most of us are learning new tricks, including growing our own sourbread dough monsters (one is called Erik) and brushing up on previously neglected instruments. Onward!

We felt it was the least we could do for our professional colleagues whose entire lives are given to making music and who are at grave financial risk right now when many are not. We look forward to performing with you again when life returns to normal.

What a splendid idea. I'm sure many of us would like to treat the professional musicians we know and share our lives with to a coffee now and then. It may be a little thing but it seems a kindly gesture, particularly in these awful times.

The Leicester Bach Choir jacqueline burden Nottingham Harmonic Can I be greedy and have the complete works of Wagner and Puccini? And at least, the epilogue of Boito's Mefistofele. Oh, and Strauss 4 last songs and Der Rosenkavalier. Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen anything and, finally, Travelling Wilburys. Now I simply don't care. Bring it on!
